On August 24th, 2016, theย Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulationsย , a.k.a. ACMPR, replaced the Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations, a.k.a. MMPR, as the regulations governing Canadian’s access medical marijuana.ย In administering the ACMPR, Health Canada has two main roles including licensure and oversight of Canadian Licensed Producers as well asย registering individuals to produce a limited amount of cannabis for their own medical purposes.
