The vaping world is home to many devices with varying accessories and hardware. So, it is pretty easy to get confused with all the options out there for consumers today.

Here we are going to discuss the difference between atomizers, cartomizers, clearomizers and find out which of them serves what purpose. These are an important part of e-cig’s and are very distinct features. You can check them all over the web, at places like yocanvaporizers.com,an online platform where you can get all types of  products. From vaporizers to their accessories, everything is readily available on their site, you can purchase a wide range of batteries, atomizers, chargers, pods, coils and much more. Without further ado, lets look at the differences below.

Atomizers

The inhalation of vapors wouldn’t be possible without atomizers. These devices emit liquids in the form of a fine spray and convert the liquids into flavorful vapor clouds. They do so with the help of the heating element embedded in them. A micropump forces the e-liquid to reach the heating element to turn into vapors. There are various models and the functions differ slightly in each.

The atomizers are known for “dripping” which refers to the dripping of the liquid into the atomizer. That is why they are referred to as rebuildable dripping atomizers (RDA).

Benefits of Atomizers

The prominent benefit of atomizers includes the dripping process which doesn’t allow the liquid to remain in the tank for very long. Many people claim that through dripping they get the purest vapors that are rich with flavor.

Drawbacks

The downside of dripping is the setup. You can’t just take the vape pen out of your pocket and start inhaling, many find this to be a major inconvenience. Moreover, the process can be pretty messy. Spills are commonplace.

Cartomizers

Cartomizers are pretty similar to atomizers with one major difference — the heating coil is wrapped with polyfill which is then soaked in liquid.  There are various designs of cartomizers and some of them are huge having a large storage capacity.

Benefits

In comparison to atomizers, they last a long time. The magic lies in the upgraded heating coil which provides long-lasting vaping sessions. They are a bit longer than atomizers earning the name “extended atomizers.”

You can convert your cartomizer into an atomizer by removing the filter. Often, the filter gets ruined on its own after you refill it several times.

Drawbacks

The refilling can be troublesome as there is always the chance of filling the air hole instead of the tank.

Clearomziers

They come in diverse designs but more importantly, they have more storage space than both cartomizers and atomizers. If you find carrying an e-juice bottle around troublesome than clearomizers will take care of that for you. They have a capacity ranging from 2.5ml to 5ml. A silica wick delivers the e-juice to the heating element which then converts it into flavorful vapors.

Benefits of clearomziers

If it doesn’t work as well as it originally did after a lot of vaping, then instead of throwing it away you can purchase prebuilt coil heads or rebuild a new wick and coil yourself. On the whole, it is a quite cost-effective option. One more thing that sets them apart is their immense storage capacity.

Drawbacks

For newcomers, the replacement of different parts might be pretty confusing. They are also the most expensive of the three.
